Privacy Policy

We only use your data to answer your request and pass it to the local providers you want to hear from. We do not sell it.

1. Who is responsible

TouringCR is responsible for the data you share with us through this site, our concierge, WhatsApp and email. Contact details are at the end of this page.

The data controller is the TouringCR business, operated by Jair Villarreal, Costa Rica ([email protected]). We process personal data in accordance with Costa Rica Law No. 8968 on the Protection of the Individual against the Processing of their Personal Data. You may file a complaint with PRODHAB (Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes), the Costa Rican data protection authority.

2. What data we handle

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
• Trip details you share: dates, number of travelers, interests, budget, places and the plan you build with our planner or concierge.
• Your messages: what you write to us via WhatsApp, email or the concierge chat.
• Sign-in details (name, email) if you use Apple or Google sign-in, once it is available.
• Basic technical data such as browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site working and improve it.

3. Why we use it

To answer your questions, build and refine your plan, and pass your request to the relevant providers so they can confirm availability and prices. Also to give support, keep the site secure and improve it.

4. Who we share it with

With the providers you ask about (tour operators, hosts, transport and rental companies), only what they need to respond: usually your name, contact details and trip details. Once you are in touch with a provider, it handles your data under its own privacy practices.

With the service tools we use to run the site and communicate with you (for example WhatsApp for messaging, Cloudflare for hosting, and email), which process data on our behalf.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies. If we use analytics, it is to measure aggregate usage of the site, and we will describe it here.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and then we delete it on request.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. You can also withdraw consent you gave us. Write to us at the contact below and we will respond.

8. Security and transfers

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Some of the tools we use may process data outside Costa Rica.

9. Children

The site is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The version on this page applies from the date shown.
